Support Theta by Becoming
a Life Loyal Member
Have you ever met a Theta who doesn't have a fond memory to share about her college days in the Theta house? Though we come from different eras and different chapters, we share the common bond of sisterhood and enjoy learning about what Theta looks like in all the different chapters we've come from. As alumnae we forge new bonds and experience new facets of being a Theta. We've decided to use this space on our website to collect and share memories that our members have about our Alumnae group over the years. Do you have favorite pictures or stories of your time in the Albuquerque Alumnae Chapter? Please email them to Holly Flandermeyer, our webmaster, so we can remember the Black and Gold together!
A memory from Sue Hutchison
This photo was taken in either 1992 or 1993 at our Alumnae Chapter Founders Day. I was President of our Alumnae Chapter from 1992-93. Our Board had invited Marilyn Lynch, who was the President of the Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation to be our speaker. Our invitation was made very early…sometime in the fall before the January Founders Day and Marilyn agreed to attend since our invitation was earlier than any others she received! Marilyn invited her friend Carryl Krohne to come with her to our event and then to stay on for several days in Santa Fe. Carryl Krohne was the GRAND PRESIDENT of Kappa Alpha Theta (1992-1996)!! We were not only thrilled to host both of them….but stunned at our incredible luck to snag both of them for our Albuquerque Founders Day!
